Our mission is to provide a professional music therapy service to the local community. We offer reduced fees for poeple on who are on low incomes or facing fianancial hardships, offering free music therapy groups for the homeless. We are keen on promoting the need for quality social care in mental health and positive action in the community.
Individual and Group Music Therapy from qualified HCPC therapists with experience in the NHS, specialising in adult mental health who experience anxiety, depression, have diagnosis of psychosis. We also work with adults with learning difficulties and any person wishing to benefit from Music Therapy
Working with a psychodynamic person centred approach to each individuals needs, offering developmental learning as well as free improvisation in the 'here and now'. We focus on clients having a strong sense of identity within the creativity in the client therapist relationship. We have a well equipped recording studio in which clients can explore, create, gaining a stronger sense of self worth.
We provide a Holistic approach, offering sound relaxation therapy. Carers and clients are welcome to relax in the gardens and play with the friendly studio dog
In September Alban Music Therapy travelled to Iceland alongside Samuel Alty to perform and run music groups.
